About me
My research interests include large scale image retrieval, content analysis, statistical learning, social network modeling, and story picturing. My Ph.D. advisors were Dr. James Z. Wang and Dr. Jia Li. For more details about my research, visit my research group page. I have also been working on integration of my research ideas with some large scale next generation image search engines ALIPR and PARAgrab.
I graduated with an Integrated Masters of Science (MSc) degree (5 yrs) in Mathematics and Scientific Computing from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 2002. I was a member of Kanpur Genetic Algorithms Laboratory during 2000-2002 where I worked with Dr. Kalyanmoy Deb and developed a new real parameter evolutionary algorithm.
I spent Summer 2005 traveling Switzerland and also doing research with Dr. Daniel Gatica Perez at IDIAP Research Institute. During Summer 2006, I was a research intern at IBM TJ Watson Research Lab working with Dr. Milind Naphade at the Intelligent Information Analysis Group. I am currently a research scientist with the Intelligent Systems Group at Kodak Research Labs.
